6. SMS Consent Requirements
Clients may send SMS messages only to recipients for whom the client has the consent required by applicable law and carrier rules.
Clients must ensure that their opt-in process clearly states:
- The identity of the business sending messages
- The types of messages the recipient will receive
- Expected message frequency
- That message and data rates may apply
- How to reply STOP to opt out
- How to reply HELP for assistance
- That consent is not a condition of purchase, where applicable
- Links to an applicable Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions
Consent must be specific to the business identified in the opt-in notice.
Clients must not rely on consent collected for an unrelated business, unrelated purpose, or purchased lead list.
7. SMS Terms
Where a customer consents to receive SMS messages from a participating business:
- Message frequency may vary
- Message and data rates may apply
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages
- The customer may reply STOP to unsubscribe
- The customer may reply HELP for assistance
- Opt-out requests will be honoured as required by applicable law
- Consent is not a condition of purchase
- The customer may opt in again through the original consent process or an approved keyword
The FCC has rules addressing consumers’ ability to revoke consent for robocalls and robotexts, so clients must promptly honour valid revocation requests.
8. A2P 10DLC Registration
Clients sending application-to-person SMS messages to United States telephone numbers using a US 10-digit long-code number may be required to complete A2P 10DLC registration.
Registration may require:

- Tax or registration identification
- Business address
- Website
- Privacy Policy
- Terms and Conditions
- Campaign description
- Sample messages
- Opt-in evidence
- Message-flow explanation
- Identity verification
- Other carrier or provider documentation
Approval is controlled by messaging providers, carriers, vetting partners, and The Campaign Registry. SolviAI cannot guarantee approval or a specific approval timeline.
Sent’s documentation states that its compliance team manually reviews submissions and that US SMS registrations are also submitted to The Campaign Registry.
